We are very excited to share this documentary film that records the efforts of Taso Foundation in Georgia to establish a culture of giving in their country to support the social justice and peacebuilding work after the 2008 war. In this film, Marina Tabukashvili, Executive Diractor of the Foundation talks about the importance of supporting and strengthening civil-society in post war Georgia to rebuild communities.
These events and experience necessitated that the Foundation raise awareness about the essence of giving and volunteerism but also brought to the forefront the need for a legislative process that supports philanthropy and social partnership with support from civil society. Working together with its partners, the Taso Foundation drafted a bill entitled ‘Law of Georgia on Philanthropy, Charity and Social Partnership’ which was submitted to the Georgian Parliament on July 25, 2013.
